3rd ANNUAL NATIONAL PEANUT FESTIVAL “DO DA PARADE” SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 3, 2007 AT 2:00 P.M.
Open to: Youth ages twelve and under (individuals, schools, clubs, churches or any organization involved with youth) All registered participants along with up to two guardians per family are admitted free to the fairgrounds. Line-up will begin at 1:00 p.m. at the South Entrance Gate to the fairgrounds. Theme: “Rockin’ P-Nut Party”
RULES AND REGULATIONS: 1. No one over age 12 may participate in the parade (exceptions: one chaperon or club leader per group or characters/mascots from local businesses). 2. All schools, PTA’s, clubs, churches and groups involved with children are encouraged to participate. 3. Participants are asked to either dress according to the theme of the Festival or they may decorate a wagon (float), tricycle or pedal tractor. 4. All signs are the responsibility of the participants. 5. Awards will be given to the three units representing the best use of the peanut theme. Awards will be presented immediately following the parade at the NPF Arena. 1st Place - $ 100 2nd Place - $50 3rd Place - $25 6. No pets or motorized vehicles unless they are required for a special needs child. 7. Anyone participating in this contest by way of entry, hereby agrees and consents to the use of any picture of contestant in any or all publications, TV, publicity brochure, internet, etc., that the National Peanut Festival may desire.
