ALABAMA DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE
State Aid to Fair
Through enabling act 1122, passed during the regular session of
the 1969 Legislature, the Agriculture Center Board is
co-sponsoring this year’s National Peanut Festival and Fair, and
pays a portion of the premiums, prizes and awards listed in this
program.

SHOW RULES
1. This show is open to any exhibitor of a lamb bred and born in
Alabama. Alabama scrapie tag must be in place.
2. All lambs must be bred and born in Alabama.
3. Weigh-in is from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. on Friday, October 30,
2009.
4. Show will begin at 7:00 p.m.
5. Entry fee will be $5.00 per head.
6. The deadline for entry forms and registration fees is Oct.
1, 2009.
7. All lambs must be slick shorn.
8. Any lambs showing signs of active club lamb fungus or other
contagious diseases will be excused from
participation.
9. All animals must be accompanied by a Veterinarian’s Health
Certificate and will be subject to a screening
committee. EAR TAG MUST MATCH HEALTH CERTIFICATE.
10. Exhibitors must clean their pens before leaving fairgrounds.
11. ALL TRAILERS NEED TO BE MOVED TO THE DESIGNATED AREA
AFTER UNLOADING. THOSE LEFT UNATTENDED WILL BE TOWED.

RULES AND REGULATIONS
1. Open to all youth (Pre-school through 12th grade).
2. Weigh-in is 12:00 Noon – 2:00 p.m. on October 31, 2009.
Approximate show time will be 4:00 p.m.
Entrants will be notified at weigh-in, if the chairman
anticipates a delay.
3. All entries must have their milk teeth and been born after
January 1, 2009.
4. Showmanship (7) divisions listed below.
5. An entry fee of $5.00 per head for market classes and $5.00
per exhibitor for showmanship will be paid at
time of entry. DEADLINE FOR ENTRY FORMS AND
REGISTRATION FEES IS OCTOBER 1st.
