The National Peanut Festival grants pageant franchises to local counties, cities, and towns; however, we do not control or oversee local pageants. Local pageant directors are selected by their respective governmental or educational entities, and proper authorization documentation is provided to the National Peanut Festival. We do not involve ourselves in the operations of local pageants.
The primary responsibility of our queens is to represent the National Peanut Festival and the peanut industry. All public appearances are coordinated and approved by our Pageant Committee Chairpersons. We are mindful of the time, safety, and well-being of our queens, and appearances will be limited at our discretion.
Parents are encouraged to be involved and supportive throughout the process. However, there are appropriate limits to parental involvement, and these expectations will be clearly explained once queens are crowned.
Above all, National Peanut Festival pageants are intended to be fun, exciting, and character-building experiences. We are committed to ensuring they remain positive and rewarding for all participants.
