What facilities are available for rent?
We offer multiple indoor and outdoor rental spaces, including exhibit buildings, arena space, meeting rooms, and open grounds. Availability varies depending on Festival operations and scheduled events.
Booking & Payments
When is my reservation confirmed?
Your date is secured once we receive:
A signed Facility Use Agreement
The required deposit
Reservations are not guaranteed until both items are received.
Is the deposit refundable?
Deposits are generally non-refundable.
If cancelled more than 180 days before the event, the deposit may be refunded less a $50 service fee.
Cancellations within 180 days of the event result in forfeiture of the deposit.
Written notice of cancellation is required.
When is final payment due?
Final payment is due no later than one (1) day before your event unless otherwise specified in your agreement.
Invoices not paid within 45 days may be subject to a 1.5% late charge.

Are there additional fees beyond the rental rate?
Are there additional fees beyond the rental rate?
Yes. Depending on your event, additional fees may include:
Utilities (metered usage)
Dumpster/trash removal
Post-event janitorial services (minimum $160)
Administrative fee (5% of non-rental expenses)
Equipment rentals (tables, chairs, staging, AV)
Security and police services
Electronic reader board signage ($200/week)

Insurance Requirements
Is insurance required?
Yes. All renters must provide a Certificate of Insurance naming the National Peanut Festival Association, Inc. as Additional Insured.
Minimum requirements include:
$1,000,000 per occurrence General Liability
$3,000,000 aggregate
Auto Liability (if applicable)
Workers’ Compensation (if applicable)
If alcohol is served, Host Liquor Liability coverage of $3,000,000 is required.
Failure to provide insurance may result in cancellation.
Security & Safety
Who is responsible for security?
The renter is responsible for internal security and crowd control planning.
If alcohol is served:
Uniformed Dothan Police officers are required.
Staffing ratios are determined by the Police Department.
NPF retains final authority over safety matters.
Are metal detectors required?
Metal detectors are required:
For events over 2,000 attendees where alcohol is served
For events over 3,000 attendees regardless of alcohol
Clear bag policies may also be required.
Food, Beverage & Concessions
Can I bring in outside food vendors?
Yes, with prior written approval. Vendors must:
Meet Health Department requirements
Meet Fire Marshal standards
Provide required permits before setup
Can alcohol be served?
Yes, with:
Prior written approval
Proper permits
Required insurance
Required police presence
Alcohol may not leave designated service areas.
Electrical & Production
Can I use my own electrician?
No. NPF has exclusive electrical and IT contractors:
JJ and J Electrical
Pruitt Communications
These vendors must be used for electrical and IT services.
Is equipment available for rent?
Yes. Available equipment includes:
Chairs – $1 each
Rectangle tables – $6 each
Round tables – $10 each
Stage panels – $15 each
Lull (forklift) – $500/day (operated by NPF staff only)
Parking
Is parking included?
General parking is available. Large events (3,000+ attendees) must provide professional parking assistance with a minimum of eight (8) attendants.
Event Operations
Do I need permits?
Yes. Renters must secure all necessary permits and licenses, including:
Health permits
Fire permits
Alcohol permits (if applicable)
Music licensing compliance (ASCAP/BMI if applicable)
Copies must be provided at least 30 days prior to the event.
Can I display banners or signage?
All signage requires written approval. Signage may not be placed on perimeter fencing, trees, or light poles without authorization.
Am I responsible for damages?
Yes. The renter is responsible for:
Facility damage
Cleanup costs
Damage caused by guests or vendors
Holdover time beyond contracted hours
Failure to vacate on time may result in additional fees.
