Executive Director Named

**For Immediate Release 3/9/23** New Executive Director.
34 years as a volunteer, Tony Ellison chosen as Executive Director of the National Peanut Festival. Raised in Headland & a Wiregrass resident for life… Tony will oversee all aspects of the 270 acre Fairgrounds. Tony has served on the Fair Board for 11 years, has a BS Degree from Troy with Masters as well, Married to Brooke Ellison for 19 years, 35 years of experience in finance and management, Teaches 5-6 grade Sunday School and member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church. Tony says “Thing I love most about Peanut… the fact that I get to work all year, plan for hours on end….just to see the smiles of the kids when they come through our gates.”
The Fairgrounds host events weekly to include the Fall Fair that boasts 200,000+ attendees. Contact Tony for your event needs 793-4323. The Fairgrounds can rent small buildings for wedding events or business seminars, larger buildings for Trade shows, an amphitheater for concerts, or choose the covered 3000 seat rodeo arena.
