Celebrate Alabama’s agricultural roots and rising youth talent at the National Peanut Festival’s Lamb Events! With both Junior Breeding Ewe and Market Lamb competitions, this is where tradition meets tenacity in the show ring.

📥 Weigh-In: Friday, Oct. 31 (4:30–9:00 PM CST)
📥 Late Arrivals: Saturday, Nov. 1 (8:00–9:00 AM CST)
• Open to junior exhibitors (pre-K through high school seniors)
• Ewes must be born after Dec. 1, 2024 and have lamb milk teeth
• Entry Fee: $10/head Pen Fee: $5/pen
• Lambs entered as: Black Face Cross, White Face Cross, Haired, or Natural
• Alabama Bred & Born champions selected from top placing lambs in each class
• No separate showmanship—combined with Market Lambs at noon

• Open to youth (pre-K through 12th grade)
• Lambs must be born after Dec. 1, 2024 and have milk teeth
• Divisions: Black Face Cross, White Face Cross, Haired, Natural
• Entry Fee: $10/head Pen Fee: $5/pen Showmanship: Free
• Alabama Bred & Born awards given in each class
• Lambs must be slick shorn prior to arrival
• All lambs must be removed after the show
🎓 Showmanship Classes
Begins at 12:00 Noon Age as of show date
• Class 01: 4 years & under
• Class 02: 5–6 years
• Class 03: 7–8 years
• Class 04: 9–10 years
• Class 05: 11–12 years
• Class 06: 13–14 years
• Class 07: 15 years & older
📝 Registration & Admission
• 🗓️ Deadline: October 17, 2025 — No late entries accepted
• 🎟️ Gate Admission: $8/day or $20/4-day pass
• 🚗 Ag Parking Pass: $25 (includes vehicle + trailer)
• 🎫 Exhibitors receive free admission armbands
🚨 All trailers must be moved to designated parking immediately after unloading. Unattended vehicles will be towed. No pets or overnight stays in barns.
