Youth exhibitors will bring their best lambs to the 2026 National Peanut Festival for an exciting day of showmanship, Junior Breeding Ewe and Market Lamb competition. Alabama Bred and Born champions will also be recognized!

- 12:00 PM: Youth Showmanship
- Following Showmanship: Junior Breeding Ewe Show
- Approximately 2:00 PM: Market Lamb Show
π Competition Highlights
- Open to youth exhibitors from preschool through 12th grade who have not graduated from high school
- Black Face Cross, White Face Cross, Hair and Natural divisions
- Seven youth showmanship age divisions
- Alabama Bred and Born champions recognized
- Grand Champion and Reserve Grand Champion awards
- Cash premiums awarded through sixth place
- Special βOld Timersβ showmanship opportunity
- Ewes may compete in both the Junior Breeding Ewe and Market Lamb shows with separate entries

β° Arrival and Weigh-In
Friday, November 6: 4:30-9:00 PM
Saturday, November 7: Late arrivals accepted from 8:00-9:00 AM
All lambs must be removed from the barns immediately following the Market Lamb Show.
π Health and Exhibition Requirements
- Online registration is required at nationalpeanutfestival.com.
- Lambs must retain their milk teeth and meet the age requirements stated in the official rules.
- All lambs must be clipped or slick shorn before arriving.
- Market lambs must have a veterinary health certificate.
- Ear tags must match the information on the health certificate.
- Appropriate scrapie identification is required.
- All animals are subject to inspection and health screening.
- Animals showing signs of contagious disease or active club lamb fungus will not be permitted to compete.
- Exhibitors must show their own animals without physical assistance, except when more than one entry is competing in the same class.
ποΈ Admission and Parking
Each exhibitor receives a complimentary admission armband. Additional admission tickets may be purchased during online registration:
- Four-Day Pass: $25
- One-Day Pass: $9
- Agriculture Parking Pass: $27 for one vehicle and trailer
After unloading, all vehicles and trailers must be moved promptly to the designated parking area. No sleeping in the barns and no pets are permitted.
