Get ready to squeal with excitement as the 2025 Swine Competition takes center stage at the National Peanut Festival! With top-tier market hogs, prospect pigs, and showmanship talent from across the region, this two-day event is a showcase of skill, care, and agricultural pride.
🏆 Competition Highlights
• 💪 Market Hogs: 200–290 lbs
• 🐷 Prospect Hogs: 50–199 lbs
• 🐖 Barrows & Gilts show separately in Market Division; together in Prospect Division
• 🎓 Open to youth ages 5–20 (as of show date)
• 🐽 Showmanship winners earn bragging rights and belt buckles
• 💵 Entry Fee: $10/head Pen Fee: $5/pen (2 pigs per pen)
• 🐾 Limit: 5 Prospect entries per exhibitor
📋 Health & Registration Requirements
• All pigs must remain on trailers until inspected by the Swine Committee
• Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (CVI) required for all entries
• Registration deadline: Friday, October 17, 2025 — NO EXCEPTIONS
🚜 Logistics & Reminders
• No tack pens available
• No overnight stays in barns
• All vehicles and trailers must be moved immediately after unloading
• Gate admission required for all attendees (excluding exhibitors)
• Ag Parking Pass: $25 (includes vehicle + trailer)
