🌿 Horticulture Showcase at the National Peanut Festival

🌟 Theme: “Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now”
Amateur gardeners, green thumbs, and plant lovers—this is your moment to shine! The National Peanut Festival invites you to enter your finest foliage, blooms, and botanical artistry in our celebrated Horticulture Competition. Whether you're a garden club member or a solo enthusiast, your plants deserve the spotlight.

📬 How to Enter
• Submit your application by Thursday, October 23, 2025
• Mail to: National Peanut Festival, 5622 US Hwy. 231 South, Dothan, AL 36301
• Entry drop-off: Wednesday, October 29, 4:00–6:00 PM
• Step 1: Drop off at Premium Building
• Step 2: Park at Alfa entrance (north lot)
• Step 3: Return to complete paperwork/check-in

🌺 Competition Details
• Open to amateur gardeners only—no commercial growers
• One entry per person per class
• All entries must remain on display through the Festival
• Claim tickets required for pickup on Monday, November 10, 5:00–7:00 PM
• Entries not picked up become property of NPF
• Judged by certified state horticulture judges
• All specimens must be fresh, named (genus/species), and grown by the exhibitor

🌿 Divisions Include
• Ferns, Begonias, Succulents, Cacti
• African Violets, Dish Gardens, Tropical Blooming
• Foliage Plants (small & large pots)
• Cut Flowers: Annuals, Perennials, Roses
• Hanging Baskets & Bonsai
🧪 Judging Criteria
• Plant appearance, grooming, and health
• Rarity and difficulty of cultivation
• Age, size, and overall presentation
• No leaf shine, artificial coloring, or freshly repotted plants

📌 Important Reminders
• No plant over 150 lbs. without pre-approval
• All entries must meet judging standards or risk disqualification
• Premium checks are based on judge scoring—not ribbon placement
• Dish gardens must include at least 3 different plants
• Cut flower containers are provided; no foliage below water line
