🌿 Horticulture Showcase at the 2026 National Peanut Festival

🌟 Theme: “Ease On Down the Row”
Calling all amateur gardeners, green thumbs and plant enthusiasts! Showcase your finest foliage, flowers and botanical creations in the 2026 National Peanut Festival Horticulture Exhibits. Garden club membership is not required, but professional and commercial growers are not eligible.
📬 Registration and Entry Information
Registration deadline: Thursday, October 29, 2026
• Register online at www.nationalpeanutfestival.com or mail an entry form to the National Peanut Festival
• Entry drop-off: Wednesday, November 4, from 4:00–6:00 PM
• No entries will be accepted outside the designated delivery time
When delivering entries:
- Drop off your plants at the Premium Exhibit Building.
- Move your vehicle to the north parking lot near the ALFA entrance.
- Return to the Premium Exhibit Building to complete check-in and paperwork.

🌺 Competition Requirements
One entry per person in each class
• All specimens must be fresh plant material grown by the exhibitor
• Each entry must be identified by genus and species
• Container-grown plants must have been in the exhibitor’s possession for at least 90 days
• Multiple plantings must have been in the exhibitor’s possession for at least six weeks
• Plants must remain on display throughout the Festival
• A claim ticket is required to pick up an entry
• No plant weighing more than 150 pounds will be accepted without advance approval
• No professional or commercial growers may enter
🏆 Premiums and Awards
First Place: $25 and ribbon
• Second Place: $15 and ribbon
• Third Place: $10 and ribbon
• One rosette winner will be selected from each division
• Division rosette winners will compete for Grand Overall and Reserve Grand Overall
• Grand Prize: Rosette and $50
🌿 Divisions Include
Ferns
• Begonias
• Succulents and cacti
• African violets
• Dish gardens
• Tropical blooming and foliage plants
• Small and large foliage plants
• Cut annuals, perennials and roses
• Hanging baskets
• Bonsai
🧪 Judging Considerations
Entries will be evaluated by state-certified horticulture judges based on overall appearance, shape, cleanliness, health, grooming, rarity, difficulty of cultivation, size, and age.
Please remember:
Do not use leaf shine or artificial coloring
• Do not enter freshly dug or repotted plants
• Dish gardens must contain at least three different plants
• Containers are provided for cut flowers
• Cut specimens should not have foliage below the water line
• Each division must have at least three entries to be judged
Entries and premium checks may be picked up Monday, November 16, from 4:00–6:00 PM. Entries not collected by 6:00 PM will become the property of the National Peanut Festival.
