81st National Peanut Festival Announces 2025 Theme: “Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now!”
DOTHAN, AL — The National Peanut Festival (NPF) is proud to announce the theme for its 81st annual celebration: “Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now!” The 2025 festival will run from October 31 through November 9, bringing together the Wiregrass community and visitors from across the region to honor the peanut industry and enjoy one of the South’s most cherished traditions.
This year’s festivities will feature a full lineup of exciting events leading up to the main celebration:
• October 11, 2025 – Little Miss National Peanut Festival Pageant
• October 17 & 18, 2025 – Miss National Peanut Festival Pageant
• October 18, 2025 – Cubmobile Derby
• October 25, 2025 – National Peanut Festival Parade, returning to the traditional East-West Main Street route
Parade enthusiasts will be thrilled to know that the beloved route will once again begin on East Main Street and proceed through downtown, ending at the corner of West Main and Park. Disbanding will occur at First Methodist Church, and road closures will remain in place from the corner of Park and Main to Park and Woodland to ensure a smooth and safe disbanding process.
Parade staging will follow the established procedures from previous years. Participants are encouraged to complete entry forms online. Completing the form online will automatically submit your application—there is no need to mail or fax.
Come celebrate 81 years of tradition, fun, and community spirit—because “Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now!”
